Ms. Kim is the Senior Vice President and Manager of Medical Claims and Special Investigation in Global Retail Markets-U.S. (GRM US) at Liberty Mutual Insurance. She joined the NICB Board of Governors in 2021.

In her current role, Ms. Kim is responsible for leading 600+ field claims adjusters and investigators and for delivering successful business outcomes for the first party injury claims, Workers Compensation claims and Special Investigation, for both personal lines and small commercial lines.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Kim was Senior Vice President and Manager of Claims Analytics in GRM US, where she was responsible for providing data-driven insights to personal and small commercial Claims to drive its operational excellence and shape its strategy for success. She led a collaborative team in Claims Insights who strategized, developed, and implemented solutions for Claims for its needs in data, reporting, analytics, advanced modeling, and capacity & forecasting. Her prior functional claims experience includes leading GRM US Claims Shared Services, which was comprised of Claims Service Centers, Subrogation, Salvage and Claims Support operations with 1,200+ employees as well as leading Claims Technology & Digital Product Management, where she was responsible for GRM US Claims Governing Portfolio with an annual IT budget of ~ $100M.

Ms. Kim joined Liberty Mutual Insurance in 2006 as a Senior Business Consultant in the Corporate Development Program (CDP), which is a graduate-level two-year leadership development program of Liberty Mutual Insurance. At the completion of CDP, she gained experiences in commercial lines Specialty Underwriting and Talent & Enterprise Services. Prior to Liberty Mutual, she worked in financial services IT Consulting.

Ms. Kim received a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from Cornell University, M.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from University of California at Berkeley, and M.S. in Finance from Boston College. She lives in a suburb of Boston with her husband and two children.
