During a 2–3-year investigation along with KY DOI indicated multiple carriers and multiple claims appeared to be involved. On January 4, 2024, the chiropractor, Michael Baker entered an Alford Plea to the charges Fraudulent Insurance Acts over 500$ and Theft by Deception over 1000$ both felonies. The defendant was sentenced to pretrial diversion for class D felonies for a period of 5 years or until restitution is paid. Michael Baker is being monitored by probation and parole currently.
