ISATT investigated a dealership located in Illinois. ISATT reached out to an NICB agent to conduct research on possible retagged vehicles. During the investigation, 27 stolen retagged vehicles were identified and recovered with a value of around 1.1 million dollars. The owner was arrested and charged with 5 counts of Aggravated Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle over 25K, Aggravated Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle 3 or more vehicles, Aggravated Possession of vehicles with false VINs, Continuing Financial Criminal Enterprise, 3 counts Forgery of registration plates.
