NATCHEZ, Miss. —

A multi-state stolen vehicle ring has been busted in Adams County. Patten said those involved pose as buyers to steal the vehicles.

Sheriff Travis Patten said his agency has been working with law enforcement agencies in Mississippi, Texas and Louisiana on the investigation.

Patten said on Jan. 7, agents with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group recovered a blue Ford F-150 that had been stolen from Bossier Parish, Louisiana.

On Saturday, deputies stopped a Ford Mustang on Highway 61 North that had been reported stolen from Fort Bend County, Texas. Patten said the driver, Ricky Ellis, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property.

Agents have also charged Henry Washington Jr., with receiving stolen property in connection with the recovery of the blue F-150. In addition, Sahmaad Grayson is charged with two counts of possession of stolen property related to the F-150 and the Mustang.

Patten said there could be additional arrests and charges.
