The Newport News Police Department is hosting a free etching event on Saturday April 27, 2024, at Peninsula Korean Baptist Church. The process takes about 15 minutes per vehicle and registration is recommended. The link for registration is available through the Newport News Police Department’s Facebook page.
Theft materials will be distributed from the Virginia State Police Help Eliminate Auto Theft (HEAT) program and the NICB.
