The NICB was contacted by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in relation to a possible cloned vehicle. During the title transfer process, the title presented was deemed invalid and a new title was not issued. The DMV requested a VIN verification on the vehicle. After noting many inconsistencies in the title history and during the vehicle inspection, investigation indicated the vehicle was a clone. The vehicle was seized by law enforcement.
