NICB Special Agent received information from a member company SIU, that an alleged chop was being operated in the City of Saint Louis. SA responded to the area and observed numerous parts and shells of vehicles in front of the building, along with motors and transmissions in the rear. St. Louis Metro PD Auto Theft Section was advised, along with the FBI - St. Louis Gang Task Force. After a 7-month investigation, a federal level search warrant was obtained, and 12 stolen vehicles and stolen vehicle major components were located and recovered with an estimated value of $87,000. The identified individual was taken into custody and later pleaded guilty in federal court to her involvement. Numerous additional federal weapons and narcotics arrests were made of additional subjects during the investigation.
