On August 9, 2023, NICB Special Agent Mark Reyes, members of the Chula Vista Police Department and the San Diego Regional Auto Theft Task Force completed a day of public outreach by visiting local businesses to educate and deter the rise of catalytic converter theft in San Diego County, just one of many such events occurring throughout California. NICB continues to work in partnership with law enforcement nationwide to educate, deter and prevent catalytic converter theft.
