APSO makes several arrests in multi-parish stolen property scheme

ASCENSION PARISH, La. (APSO) - Two men were arrested and one is wanted following an investigation into the theft and illegal sale of a telecommunication company’s copper wire, according to authorities.
Officials say the copper wire had been stolen from utility poles in Livingston and East Feliciana Parishes.
According to Sheriff Bobby Webre, deputies have arrested Glenn Price, 68, of Donaldsonville for illegal possession of stolen things, and operating a scrap metal business without the proper license. Deputies said Price was later also charged with money laundering of over $100k and illegal transmission of monetary funds. Investigators say Price is a current mayoral candidate for Donaldsonville.
