Arkansas Man Pleads Guilty after Filing False Insurance Claims
Between 2014 and 2016, an Arkansas man allegedly filed and was paid for three false insurance claims on two ski boats and a riding lawn mower.
On July 1, 2020, the man pled guilty to one count of Theft of Property $25,000 or greater (Class B Felony), three counts of Theft of Property greater than $5,000, but less than $25,000 (Class C Felony), one count of Theft by Receiving $25,000 or greater (Class B Felony), one count of Theft by Receiving $5,000 or less, but greater than $1,000 (Class D Felony), and one count of Criminal Attempt Theft of Property $25,000 or greater (Class C Felony).
On January 8, 2021, he paid $50,000 in restitution and was sentenced to 120 months in the Arkansas Department of Corrections with 60 months suspended (60 months to serve).
