Custom Corvette Recovered

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) seized a 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 reportedly displaying fictitious vehicle information.  The NICB assisted the DPS by inspecting the vehicle and determining the true vehicle identification number.  Southwest Region agents coordinated with a Midwest Region agent to track down the Corvette’s history in production at the Corvette manufacturing facility in Bowling Green, Kentucky.  As a result of the inquiry, information indicated that the vehicle had been shipped to the General Motors Custom Vehicle Operations facility in Warren, Michigan for further customization.  The vehicle, valued at approximately $150,000, had been stolen from the General Motors facility without notice.
