KSLA Investigates: How to help keep your car from being stolen

TEXARKANA, Texas (KSLA) — Texas is considered the second worst state in the nation when it comes to vehicle thefts, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB). The bureau says in 2023, more than 115,000 vehicles were stolen in Texas.
However, in Texarkana, police say they’re beating this trend.
“Car theft is a crime of opportunity,” said Shawn Vaughn, of the Texarkana, Texas, Police Department.
