PITTSBURG, Texas — Detectives from the Northeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force (NETXATTF) have recovered several stolen vehicles in recent operations across the region.
A 2023 GMC Denali HD, stolen from Houston, was found in Pittsburg with a swapped VIN, while a 2014 Hyundai and a 2016 Chrysler 200 were also recovered in Paris, according to a press release from the task force.
The GMC Denali was purchased unknowingly by a buyer on Craigslist, highlighting the risks of buying vehicles through online marketplaces, the task force stated. In Paris, officers arrested an individual for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle after locating the stolen Hyundai. Additionally, a 2019 Dodge Challenger was swiftly recovered within an hour of its theft, and a suspect has been identified in the case.
