Pennsylvania Woman Sentenced to Jail for Filing False Auto Insurance Claims
A Morrisville, Pennsylvania, woman was sentenced to four to 23 months in county jail for submitting a series of false auto insurance claims over the past few years that defrauded two auto insurance companies of almost $40,000.
Shaminga L. Davis pleaded guilty in January to insurance fraud and theft by deception. In addition, she also pleaded guilty to a retail theft case. In addition to the county jail sentence, Common Pleas Judge Theodore C. Fritsch ordered Davis to undergo probation for five years.
