Thousand Oaks Woman Pleads Guilty to Automobile Insurance Fraud

 VENTURA, Calif. – The Ventura County District Attorney’s Office announced today that Tyreema Brown (DOB 12/30/83), of Thousand Oaks, pled guilty on May 29, 2024, to one felony count of automobile insurance fraud.  

Brown’s vehicle was involved in a collision while she lacked collision coverage as part of her automobile insurance policy. Several days after the collision, she added collision coverage to her policy. The day after she added collision coverage, she made a claim for damages with Allstate Insurance company.
