The National Weather Service confirmed that two tornadoes touched down in Bowie, MD on July 5, 2022. The NICB responded to the affected area and observed scattered debris and downed trees and powerlines.

Consumers are encouraged to protect themselves following a catastrophe. The NICB recommends getting at least three written estimates for repair work and compare quotes, check credentials, including licenses, references and insurance, contact your insurer to make certain your policy is up to date and make sure your contract states estimated construction schedules and prices for labor and materials.
