Million-Dollar Auto Theft Ring Busted in Ellis County

On Christmas Eve, a collaborative effort between the Tri-County Auto Theft Task Force (TCAT) and the Ellis County Sheriff's Office led to the discovery of a major auto theft ring.
Investigators, following a stolen vehicle, traced it to a local repair shop. Upon further inspection, they uncovered multiple stolen vehicles and a large quantity of stolen auto parts within the shop.
Among the recovered vehicles was a 2023 Ferrari F8 Spider. The total value of the recovered property was estimated to be approximately $862,895.
The investigation is ongoing.
