Billing Practices

Law enforcement requested NICB assistance regarding the alleged fraudulent billing practices of a medical provider. In response, a task force agent was able to provide vital information with research and investigation supporting the alleged billing discrepancies. After working in conjunction with federal and state officials  and multiple member company SIUs, the provider was indicted on 19 Counts of Insurance Fraud. The exposure of the indictment is approximately $9.7 million dollars.
