The National Insurance Crime Bureau is pleased to announce our new and improved in-person Fraud Analyst Concepts Academy (FACA).
This engaging training experience is geared towards the beginner analyst. They will explore foundational concepts in fraud analytics, including the various types of analytics (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, prescriptive), basic statistical methods, anomaly detection, network analysis, and geographic analysis. This Academy will also cover essential data concepts and data literacy, such as data collection, preparation, and the distinction between quantitative and qualitative data.
Participants will learn about the major sources of insurance data, including claims, policy information, open-source intelligence (OSINT), public records, and cellular data, and engage in exercises to match data types with different fraud scenarios.

Prerequisites to attend:
- In the role of analyst for at least 6 months
- Proficiency in Excel
- All potential participants must take a proficiency evaluation in order to attend. Please click here for the evaluation.
